Dean Hess

Dean brings over 25 years of experience in portfolio planning, project management, and licensing operations to his role with The Wilderness Calling Conservation Initiative. He is deeply honored to contribute to the organization's sustainable fishing initiatives while pursuing his passion as an aspiring fly fisherman.
In addition to his work with Wilderness Calling, Dean serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Portland, teaching courses on the economics and metrics of sustainability. He holds a BA in History from Principia College, an MBA from American University, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
Currently, Dean is a portfolio planner and business consultant at Nike Inc. in Beaverton, Oregon. He resides in Portland with his wife, Jennifer, and their children, Isabel (16) and Alex (6).
