NEHALEM RIVER TAGGING STUDY 2025
Hosted by The Wilderness Calling Conservation Initiative
Lodging provided by
In collaboration with ODFW, our board members and volunteers will come together to conduct a hook and line survey on Oregon’s North Coast. The goal of this project is to tag and track Kelt Steelhead (a steelhead that has successfully spawned and is migrating back to the ocean,) using cutting edge PSAT tags. This new technology will allow us to understand where anadromous fish go in the ocean. Armed with this information, we can shape our future practices, while creating the positive change that is needed to maintain and proliferate Wild Steelhead populations.
